Holy crap this tournament has title sponsors (The Legend Run and ASBet)

Lore, Legends And More Action Tournament

LLAMA is a Tournament that is done in the style of the ASB Factory Tournament and Sharing is Caring, Kinda tournament where what Pokémon you own is not relevant. The idea of LLAMA is to give you the chance to use any Pokémon you want except for those that are banned. This also gives people a chance to use one of the very powerful legendary Pokémon they would never have the chance to use otherwise. These Legendary Pokémon have been supplied in cages to use by one of our title sponsors: The Legend Run. In case you are wondering where they came from.

Battle Rules

Once the Tournament starts, a thread will be posted and it will house everyone's team. There will also be round threads, etc.

At the start of each round, the brackets will be chosen and referees for each match will be chosen. From there, you must PM the referee the three Pokémon from your team of five that you will use for the round. You have five days to do this. Once the referee gets both teams, they will post the battle. The Battle Rules and format will be talked about later.

Prizes

Battle
Winner: 3 CC, 5 UC
Loser: 3 CC
Referee: 1.5 × The usual payout (Generally 15 UC).

No counters for Pokémon.

Overall
1st place: Keep the Legend they chose + one non-legendary Pokémon they chose.
2nd place: Keep the Legend they chose.
3rd place: Keep one non-legendary Pokémon they chose.

Betting Ring

I gave up on this, see below.

==============================

Format:
  • 36 participants will be split into 6 groups of 6 each.
  • 3 rounds of Swiss will be played, where the first round will have to be done with random seeding, and the other two based on your record.
    • This means we'll see a total of 16 matches per round for 3 rounds.
  • If you win a Swiss round, you score 1. If you lose, you score 0.
  • After 3 Swiss rounds, the two top-scoring players from each group will advance to the single elimination rounds.
  • In the event of a tie within any group, tie-breaker is determined by ratio of (Total HP percentage damage dealt) : (Total HP percentage damage taken)
  • What this means is that the first part is effectively double elimination and you will need to win 2 matches at least to have a chance of advancing.
In the single elimination, we get 12 players (quarter-finals) > 6 players (semi-finals) > 3 players (finals). So that is three rounds as well.

Finally, the three finalists play round-robin matches to determine their placing.

We are now in the knockout stages of the tournament. Winning will advance you to the next stage of the Tournament while losing will eliminate you from the tournament. We will be using the same DQ policy as the Group Stages.

BATTLE RULES
3v3 Singles
Enforced 2 Day DQ Time for players, 3 for referees.
Each player has three DQ warnings a match. Go over the first three times, you will use your warning. Go over once more, you will be DQed. This will be at the discretion of the player or one of the hosts if the player takes too long. Referees going over DQ will probably be sacked and replaced.
Infinite Recoveries/Chills per Pokémon.
Three Substitutions per player excluding KO Substitutions.
One Mega Evolution
Switch = OK
Abilities = ALL
Items = ON; you do not have to have the item in possession but the item must not be banned, similar to SICK (Banned Items: Soul Dew, Dark Stone, Light Stone, Diancite, Prison Bottle).
Arena: ASB Tournament Arena
If there are matches still going on come Saturday the 24th of October at Midnight (GMT +00:00), then the DQ Times of those matches will shorten to 1 Day Player, 1 Day Referee.

Note that players have two extra DQ Warnings up their sleeves this round because it is the final round.

And now the final matchups!

S0L1D G0LD vs. Frosty (Referee: Dogfish44) (Thread)
S0L1D G0LD vs. Gale Wing Srock (Referee: Its_A_Random) (Thread)
Frosty vs. Gale Wing Srock (Referee: Black Heart) (Thread)

S0L1D G0LD vs. Frosty
S0L1D G0LD vs. Gale Wing Srock
Frosty vs. Gale Wing Srock

If one referee bails out, C$FP will be the first replacement.

If one player bails out, then the user they beat in the Semi Finals will replace them and if that user bails out, then well... uhhh...

Referees: If you cannot finish a reffing, let me know in advance and I will get someone to sub-referee without jeopardising your hopes of refereeing in future rounds.

=============================

Also if it was not clear by now I have given up on the betting ring. Little interest meant I decided to give it the prediction tournament treatment because nothing involving them ever gets done right?

Okay that is about it, happy betting / battling / refereeing!

Also in the case of the three players finishing with one win each, we will use the same DF/DA ratios we used in the group stages as the tiebreaker.

Hype.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, tavok.

Predictions:

S0L1D G0LD vs. Frosty
S0L1D G0LD vs. Gale Wing Srock
Frosty vs. Gale Wing Srock

That was actually pretty quick (ignore that I can't vote on two matches).

Wooo feel the hype. Yeah.

Predicts:
Gale might beat some people if he gets his head out of his ass, unlike in some of his gym matches.
Goid will lead with Deoxys, who will promptly be killed R2 at the latest. Then he may or may not beat people with only two mons *coughMawilecough*
Frosty idk. I just woke up, too tired/thirsty to predict anything coherent.

And with that, this tournament is officially over!

1st Place: Gale Wing Srock

Prize

+ One of the following:

2nd Place: Frosty

Prize

3rd Place: S0L1D G0LD

Prize
One
of the following:

Note that for claiming these Pokémon, you will claim them as they were when you participated in the tournament with them, which means they will have the 40 moves you picked, full AC/EC, and 0 MC. Enjoy your prizes you three!

As for UC, ZhengTann (if he ever returns) and I get:

Tournament Start: 27th December, 2014.
Tournament End: 7th of November, 2015.
Total # Days: 315 Days.

60 × ((6 × 75 + 14) ÷ 315) = 88.38 ~ 88 UC

And that is it for LLAMA, you may give your congratulations, talk about the Tournament and whatnot, and whatnot. I enjoyed hosting this tournament and I hope you guys enjoyed this tournament.
how did we end before asbuddies despite starting two months later seriously

Although officially I won (and for better or worse will be the recipient of llama jokes for eternity), I would like to say that Frosty played better in the finals and would probably have won.

I don't know, how to not piss him off (accepting that, I do have the tendency to piss people off), but just for the record, I was happy with second place too (Now to figure out what to do with the extra Jenny >.<).

As for post tourney speech, I would like to Thank our hosts for a brilliant job that they did in this tourney. As IAR said, they started after ASBuddies and finished before it (probably a month or two ahead). That really tells you everything about how well this tourney was managed. And except for the Top 3 vs Top 2 cut, I really liked all the decisions that the hosts made for us. The tie-breakers were not an easy thing to stand by, but they stood by it and it worked out pretty decently Imho.

I would like to thank our refs for an amazing job with the reffings. Imo, the entire community participated in making sure that this tournament went as well as it did.

As for apologies, I would like to apologize to Texas Cloverleaf, Frosty and IAR for pissing them off at different parts of the tourney (also to others, if I have offended you in anyway). I don't know how to fix the problems I have that is making me piss people off, but I am trying to learn, understand and follow them the best I can. So please help me understand, or bear with me.

And for all those who cheered for me: thanks a lot guys <3 you all.
