Welcome, one and all, to the greatest semestral spectacle of ASB talent: the ASB Highlight Match! Highlight matches pit two of the top ASB players against each other for all to see! These matches will test the skills of the players chosen, and will give us a chance to see who comes out on top! Best of all, YOU are the one who gets to choose the participants! That's right, you will be voting on who gets to play who in these matches. It's a fun time for both the players and the spectators. You don't want to miss this battle, folks!

Rules:
BATTLE NAME: Everything happens in Inverse
Format: 3v3
Style: Singles
Chills/Recovery: 5 chills / 2 recoveries
Disqualification: 3 Day DQ / 4 Day Ref DQ
Substitution Rules: 3 + KO Substitutions
Switch Rules: OK
Item Rules: On
Ability Rules: All
Arena: ASB Tournament Arena
Mega Evolutions: 1 per team
SPECIAL RULE: The type chart is reversed, making all weaknesses become resistances, All resistances become weaknesses, and all immunities become 2× weaknesses. Freeze Dry's SE effect has no effect and any abilities and moves that alter resistances/weaknesses remain the same.
Rules are simple and intend to showcase the current metagame now that Gen VI came and settled.
Prizes consist of normal battle counters (that's 2 CC per trainer and 1 EC, 2 MC, 1 AC and any gained KO Counters per participating Pokemon). The winner receives 5 UC to spend as well and, of course, will be recorded as a Highlight Match winner!
Reffing
Anyone that wishes to ref this battle may PM me stating their qualifications to ref. I will choose one ref and one subref to avoid problems if the original ref has a conflict. Referees recieve the heightened rewards for gym battles, to represent the stricter DQ time and exceptional work needed to display.
NEW RULE: Referees will now gain 1.5× Normal Pay from matches to reflect the higher standard of the matches.

In this stage, we will decide who will be in the poll to select the final two contestants. Post one to five players you would like to see battle. Order is not a factor.
For this HLM only, the following players cannot be chosen:
- Frosty (was on last HLM)
- Avnomke (was on last HLM)
You may choose players that already battled before (especially if they did so a long time ago). Choose the players that you want to see battling.
And yes you can nominate yourself. Even as a sign that you are willing to battle.
This phase will last 48h. May be extended if not enough votes.
There will probably be a top 50% cut for this phase where the most nominated candidates which go up to just over 50% total nominations will be nominated for HLM 8. If there are too few then we will fit until we get around 10 candidates.
Also please vote people who are going to be active and whoever referees should be active and willing to write flavour... I do not want this HLM to last three months.
If you do not want to be in this HLM, let me know please.
