DYAE is a tourney where you won't see the OP thing that is Mega Gardevoir, or the incredibly annoying Sableye; you will, however, see stylish Furfrous and adorable Dedennes. Why would you use those guys, you say? Well, see below to find out!

Signups

In order to sign up, you have to post here saying that you want to participate. Then, you PM me a couple things. What things? Well...

• Your team.

For this tournament, you'll be using 6 rental Pokémon. However, you can't choose just any Pokémon. Our objective is making sure that those Pokémon that rarely see the daylight receive the love that they deserve. How? Well, by having some restrictions, of course:

- Your Pokémon can only be part of one of the less owned species. We are kind of trying to emulate competitive's NU, so only those owned by 3 or less players can be choosen (you can checkthis here). Obvious exceptions are Legendaries, and some others were banned because they were found overwhelmingly good compared to the other Pokémon. The Pokémon that were banned are:

And this might be useful (credit to Maxim for making this):
- After you choose your 6 Pokémon, you'll make a profile for each one of them. They'll have full EC, AC (with an unlocked HA if you want) and the moves they would have if they were fresh.

- After that, you'll have 150 MC to distribute freely among the 6 Pokémon. Please list below each of the Pokémon profiles the moves you're getting with the MC and the learning method, this to make approving easier.

- After each battle, you'll get another 50 MC to distribute among your Pokémon.

- Any leftover MC between rounds is lost.

• Your items.

- You'll be given 30 CC to spend in items for the tournament.

- After each battle, you'll get another 10 CC to spend.

- Unreleased items are banned.

- Leftover CC is NOT lost between rounds.

• All claims will be made via PM and will be posted in the team's thread once all have been sent.

Simple, right?


Battle Rules

Once the Tournament starts, a thread will be posted and it will host everyone's team and claims.

At the start of each round, the brackets will be randomized and refs will be assigned. From there, you must PM the referee the Pokémon from your team that you'll be using in that battle. You have three days to do this. Once the referee gets both teams, they will post the battle. We'll have two rounds of single-elimination that will act as some sort of "preliminaries".

These battles will have the following rules:

- 3v3 Singles.
- 3 Day DQ Time. Each player has two DQ warnings a match. Go over DQ thrice, you will be DQed. Unless, of course, you post a LoA, in which case you'll have more time. Do have in mind that I want these two round to be fast, so G0LD and I WILL give a DQ warning if you go over DQ and we WILL DQ you if you go over DQ thrice. If your battle has has not ended in a month, DQ time will be reduced to 2 days. If it has not finished in 1 and a half month, the hosts will decide who wins based on who played better.
- Infinite Recoveries/Chills per Pokémon.
- Three TWO Substitutions per player excluding KO Substitutions (see third post of next page).
- 0 Mega Evolutions
- Switch = OK
- Abilities = ALL
- Items = ON
- Arena: ASB Tournament Arena
- MID-BATTLE EVOLUTION IS FORBIDDEN

Prizes

Battle
Winner: 3 CC, 5 UC
Loser: 3 CC
Referee: 1.5 × The usual payout.

Overall
- 1st place: +
- 2nd place:
- 3rd place: 2 of the Pokémon you used in the tournament.

A player can choose to take one of the lower place prices, in which case the next player would take its price.
