Should the Council need a replacement, users JJayyFeather and Texas Cloverleaf will be first and second in line respectively. Term will be approximately 4 months, or until the Council is in dire need of a third replacement, subject to agreement between forum mods.

This is the thread where you can comment on the new Council and the recent election process (in general and/or facets thereof).

Also good luck handling the Gen 7 rebalancing discussions. Seems a whole lot of fun.

Good good, now to convince the rest of the new council to nerf Sableye and the metagame will finally be balanced.

New year, new gen, new Council. Any more and the list would grow old.

Remember that Council can and has to individually assess topics raised in Feedback, get consensus on how to proceed, and then proceed to open Discussion/Voting, making sure to reach closure/resolution on the issue. If unsure on what to do or how to proceed, I'm pretty sure people who were on Council before (eg. Frosty, Texas, IAR, Dogfish - just about everyone that was aops and above on IRC) can offer advice if asked :) Just as Frosty helped with advice when there's that Fake Out make out.

Also, I'm thinking of allowing non-incumbent Council members (i.e. those that did not apply for the next term) to help close/open the applications/poll and count the votes, if the Policy Leader/moderator is ever out missing in action for more than 24 hours after said thread should close. Non-incumbents minimise the conflict of interest, and this can move things along while being less dependent on one person. Policy Leader may have to type "help me" in the thread OP and tag any Council members who agreed to this over IRC. What do people think?
